Beaterator Rocks PSP !!!
Beaterator – the new Rockstar Games title for PSP made in conjunction with Timbaland is currently playing on my PSP. One of the reasons I recently upgraded to a PSP-3000 (for the built in mic). It’s not a game as such but it’s pretty much as close as you can get right now to a fully fledged music production studio on a gaming console. Surprisingly easy to use with great video tutorials and help built right into the package. This probably won’t be a bestseller but its certainly the best of its class – production values are superb as you’d expect from Rockstar/Timbaland – it looks and feels great – the controls are bang on, and once your over the slight learning curve you can produce decent sounding tracks in a matter of minutes.
Check out all the features here – Beaterator
And check this little ditty (above) - I knocked it up and exported straight from the handheld – no post production at all, this is how it came out of the machine – I just converted it from WAV to mp3 before posting here.
Getsome!
The Periodic Table Of London – Londonist
This is an addictive puzzle from the Londonist blog – what London entity does each of the elements in the table represent? There’s some patterns and relationships just like in the real periodic table – look at the comments on their page to get some ideas based on what others have cracked so far…

PEVA London Underground Shower Curtain
This is cool and I want one – but I live in London and need to go to a US company to buy one online and pay $29 postage… sometimes the internet is fucked up man. Sheeeeeeeeeit.
Legendary London Music Shop: Macaris Musical Instruments of London
I bought a guitar here recently and it was a great experience – the guy who runs the place spent about 3 hours with me, helping me try out stuff and explaining all the voodoo etc. The place was filled with curios like 6 necked guitars and old valve amps that his dad had made back in the day. They still manufacture their own custom pedal effects that are sought after by today’s rock and pop bands – Noel Gallagher had been in that week to order some of the pedals – hopefully prepping for his new solo venture? Excited.
